Well this Friday is shaping up to look pretty damn good. As per usual Drug Money is on the forefront of getting ish done. The DMU boys have managed to bring in Paul Devro and bring back My!Gay!Husband! from out on the Fresh Coast. Now if you were there for the last jam that M!G!H! was at you will be well versed in the fact that that motherfucker throws it down. I might be wrong but Im pretty sure that they will be returning (most likely triumphantly) from a quick US tour. TO's Rory Them Finest will be there as well to tear up the dancefloor, I wonder if the poor boy is worn out from last weeks Big Primpin's special pride event?

On the same front, but different night, it initially looked as if Dougie Boom (aka Dig Doug) was going to be throwing a regular Tuesday night called "No Sportos". This has apparently changed, now Dougies got Thursdays on lock (at 751) so you can get retarded one day earlier. However, because you have all been so good, you can catch a double dose this week (and this week only)both Tuesday AND Thursday. Hollar at that!

The following pictures below should explain how Friday went. Although the bar stopped serving at about 2-2.30am (whichever the bloody legal time is...) the djs kept going for another good hour or so. Unfortunately Hatchmatik wasnt able to make it in as planned, however we were lucky enough to get Dj Satva (Milk SF) from out on the Fresh Coast. Needless to say he tore the motherfucker up. Saturday was just as crazy, everyone was hung over but still rarin to go as Asstricks was gonna be hardcore. As soon as i get the pics from Asstricks and the afterparty (read: Poolhopping) them shits will get posted asap.

Well its pride week(end) in TO, so shit pops off summat crazy up here. You can guarantee that parties will be banging for a good 72 hours straight. Its pretty dope cuz they get a big parade going as well as stages all over the place playing a wide variety of music to a wide variety of people. In our neck of the woods it looks like its going to be a restless and dangerous weekend...

Wednesday night, like every week, its New Kicks, whats dope is the fact that their weekly guest has been holding steady on high quality. Last week it was the Act a Fool boys and this week, its Seven:30. Recently he got serato and as a result his mixes have just gotten tighter. Seriously. You gotta hear some of this NYC ish hes been finding in the cracks...

He was saying that hes got retarded drops for days. This comes as little to no surprise...

Now on Friday, its the monthly Get Juiced Jam by DRT. Shit is going to be UNREAL. 751 has finished their backpadio (unfortunately its still unlicensed, but do not fear people, the wheels are in motion). All the regs are there, Homecounties, Ghetto Gold, Seven:30 and Fathom. Word on the street is that there might be a special guest... Keep them fingers crossed...



Thisll defo be a good destination for an afterparty from the De la concert, the Reset artshow or even the Lady Sovereign show... Specially as theyve got some jager for crazy cheap...

On Saturday the same cats who were involved in bringing Tittsworth for that retarded good bash on may twofour are involved in throwing a jam at white orchid. Now, this place has been mentioned on several occasions for very few parties, but the location (dundas and bathurst) is not so far off the trodden path that it shouldnt be difficult to get there. Whats extra brilliant is that its a ghettotech/bootybass party. Shit like this RARELY pops off, it also helps that the cats djing are talented as fuck...

So Toronto was far from quiet this weekend. Friday our boys, Ghetto Gold and Homecounties were throwing ish down at the Queenshead. Erryone got absolutely shitfaced and bounced good and hard.

Just down the street at State theater, Chromeo were spinning and apparently it was pretty hot, as was Marky Ramone's set at Spin Gallery. Kinda curious as to what sorta ish he was spinning, anyone wanna clarify on that? Regardless, it was NXNE up here in TO and that means extended hours for bars (4AM!!!). Oy fucking vey, talk about abusing ones body...

Alot of us found ourselves at a place we rarely frequent, The Drake. It was dope tho cuz upstairs it was Rory Them Finest, downstairs it was my personal favorite Ghislain Poirier and it was rammed to the tits with all of our peoples. There are some pics about, and they will be posted asap.

SATURDAY

What was amazing is that people were ready to still go nuts on Saturday. Drugmoney threw down a hard night about drugs, which is fucking hilarious, especially when you are hearing Toni Braxton singing "Youre making me high". I think there may have been an indepth conversation about whether that song was about weed or cunnilyngus. Im saying both, Toni looks like she might be a freak in the sheets. Whats unfortunate is the fact that we cant post the original flyer which was a cokebag but on one side had all the party information. You shoulda seen people go NUTS for these fucking things. Every 30 seconds someone thought they had found a serious stash, HA.

ANYHOOO, right after that the party moved back over to the Drake which once again we took over. The Drake basement was JAMMED and also HAMMERED. Right down the street was 99 Sudbury and apparently MSTRKFT were there with Shitrobot and it was cheap as fuck (10$) considering the location, the talent and the time. It was just a little bit too much for a couple of us, so leaving was necessary. There was no way in hell that the sun was going to be shining when our heads hit the pillow AGAIN.

Its been four years and the world is all jacked up (sauve 75% of North America). The Worlds Best Countries are returning to the pitches and so are their fans.

Its these same fans that are notorious for acts of brutal and casual violence. Yes, American football has its "tailgate" parties and hockey and basketball fans have been known to have the odd "riot" in celebration of their teams victory. However, NOTHING compares to the brutality displayed by your average soccer hooligan.

In the 70s and 80s England was regarded as having bred the most vicious of all hooligans. Club supporters (in some circumstances, from the same city even blocks apart) would pummel each other mercilessly in the name of their team. Going to Europe was often likened by some as a second crusade. Some of the more notorious firms were Chelsea's "Headhunters" , Westhams's "ICF (Inter City Firm)" ), Leeds' "Service Crew" and Millwall's "Bushwackers". Eventually due to several incidences, including the "Heysel" disaster saw the rise in prevention of Hooliganism by the British government.

As of recent its even estimated that some 3500 British Hooligans have had their passports taken away in an attempt to curb their presence in Germany (their greatest rival). What might be considered unfortunate for the dwindling amounts of English hoolies is considered great luck by most eastern european supporters. Most specifically the Poles. Where boundries such as the English channel are a significant obstruction to a taste of violence, most other Easter and Central European Hooligans do not have to encounter.

Poland for instance shares a border with Germany, much to the dismay of the German government. Already last fall a large fight broke out between German and Polish supporters in which the Polish supporters were recognized as the winners. Some German officials are particularly frightened at the prospect of a hooligans world cup, where by the country that does the most damage, wins.

What also must be recognized is the fact that Holland and Germany (particularly in the lower leagues) still have thriving crews. Yugoslavias civil war has mustered up tensions as well and there is a great potential that Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro might meet up in a quarter final qualifying game.

Keep those eyes peeled and those ears open, its going to be interesting to see whose crowned the worlds most violent...

California court to hear appeal in 1980s 'Night Stalker' case

SAN FRANCISCO - The California Supreme Court will consider the case of convicted serial killer Richard Ramirez on Tuesday, but the grisly killing spree that terrorized the state in the 1980s won't be the main subject of debate.

Instead, the focal point will be Ramirez's two defense lawyers. Their inexperience in capital cases and bizarre behavior during the trial, his appellate lawyers argue, should get the man known as the "Night Stalker" off death row.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAANYWAYS in other news...
Last friday was fucking ridiculous, Atrak (Kanyes dj and more importantly in 97, when I was still trying to get laid and high, he won the DMCs at the age of 15) and The Rub(from outta New York)were having at it at Spin Gallery. They have been doing a cross North America tour and had some fantastic responses.

Being big nerds (and employed at 9-6 that sits you in front of a computer all day) we hooked up with our fellow nerds/drunks/criminals/drug addicts and deviants from the hollarboard aka fathertronix aka a billion different names... Our peeps came from Roch (Rochester), Buffalo and even as far as Bodymore, Murderland, bringing treats* all the way. Festivities which started relatively early soon quickly became out of hand at the Kiddie Porn Dungeon (a fond name I have given to my apartment). WIthin a few short hours something short of 9 (correct me if im wrong) bottles of Andre (purple and pink)a six pack of redstripe and a 26 of Jack everyone was ready to go.

Thankfully this is when it started to pour. Even better was the fact that there was a long line up. Once inside mayhem resumed.

Somewhere in there I seriously think I went temporarily insane and thought some dude was stalking one of my friends and was ready to mash him up (i cant fight for the life of me), Id like to give my blessing to whoever fed me more booze.

Frankly Im a bit surprised i went 3 or 4 hours without a cigarette. Can anyone actually confirm this for me? Anyways, shit was pretty much done at 4ish and we were still ready to continue, it was only a matter of finding this after party.

We managed to hook one up cept some of our crew had gotten into some monkeyshines with the djs. Some of these things include shoving boogers in each others mouths, retaliation by duct taping them, screaming at a repeating robotic toucan and shooting off bottle rockets (which were once again shot off in Chinatown, talk about a heat score). Anyways, to make a long story shorter, we arrived back home at about 7ish with the birds chirping and plenty of alcoholic shakes for all. A weekend well served. Now for some pictures...

Well the past two weeks has been retarded for everyone. Last friday it was hot collabo jam between DRT and Lifestyle. On the top floor you had Homecounties and Ghetto Gold Matt turning out the dance floor until Skratch Bastid tore the roof off the motherfucker. Downstairs you had cats bouncing off the walls to Fawn, Barbi, G.I.Z. and Fathom. Dranks were drunk and people looked fly. To top it off Fawn brought Hip Hop Honeys: Brazilian Edition. Seriously.
At the start there were a bunch of kids nodding to Pastor Troy and oggling the tv. It was fucking hilarious. Dont ever say we dont do anything for the community.

Still waiting on some pics for the A-Trak/Rub party on Friday at Spin gallery. SOOOOO many people and pictures. Stories galore. Shitll be up in a couple days TOPS.
This is not to mention that ACT A FOOL with Homecounties and Ghetto Gold is on friday (the 9th)and DMONEY's Drugs Drugs Drugs is on Saturday. Fuggin hell man...
